Liz Johnson, PA
Liz is a Certified Physician Assistant with a passion for dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Liz grew up in Rochester, NY and studied business management and marketing at SUNY Albany. She was a recipient of the Presidential Scholar Award and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
She moved to Birmingham, AL to pursue a career in marketing. Her career took an unexpected turn when she was introduced to medicine, and more specifically dermatology. Liz worked in a dermatology office for 5 years where she fulfilled many roles including medical assistant, clinic coordinator and Mohs histotech. Wanting to play a more integral role in patient care, she decided to continue her education. Coming home to NY, Liz attended Upstate Medical University where she graduated with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies with High Honors.
Liz and her husband Mark, both avid “Orange” fans, are excited to now call Syracuse home. Outside of work Liz enjoys baking and home DIY projects. She is a novice golfer, enjoys tennis and skiing and is a loyal fan of the Buffalo Bills.
Jennifer Johansson, PA-C
Jenn is a certified physician assistant with a passion for dermatology. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Jenn grew up as an "Army Brat" but her family settled in Baldwinsville, NY, when her father retired from the military. She studied Biology and Chemistry at LeMoyne College and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science.
After graduating from Le Moyne, Jenn moved to Mobile, AL, to pursue a graduate degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama. She studied all aspects of medicine, but had a special focus on Dermatology. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Masters of Health Science.
Upon graduating PA school, Jenn moved back to New York, starting her career in the Emergency Medicine Department at Saratoga Hospital. She loved emergency medicine, but quickly realized that her true passion was dermatology. She jumped at the chance to work in a growing dermatology practice in the Capital Region, where she stayed for five years.
Now, both Jenn and her husband, Steve, are happy to be returning home to the Syracuse area permanently. They are excited to be able to attend Syracuse basketball games regularly, and spend more time with their extended families. In Jenn's spare time she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, reading and hiking.
